News Update August 2013 – Simpson Millar’s Holiday Lawyers are reading reports on popular travel forum, TripAdvisor, that hotel guests at the Iberotel Aquamarine in Hurghada, Egypt, are being struck down by gastric illness.
The outbreak of illness is suspected to be due to bacterial infections from poorly prepared food poisoning, possible Salmonella which has been identified at the Iberotel Aquamarine Hotel in the past.
Holidaymakers are seeking to claim compensation for a number of holiday complaints which include: poor food; unhygienic food preparation; poorly trained staff; and widespread illness.

The UK tour operators sending holidaymakers to the hotel include Thomson and First Choice. If it transpires that holidaymakers have been suffering from Salmonella or any other type of bacterial food poisoning at the Iberotel Aquamarine they should expect to receive substantial compensation.
