Travel Lawyers Simpson Millar are disturbed by the fact that holidaymakers are yet again returning from the Holiday Village Turkey have suffered from debilitating bouts of holiday illness.
The hotel operated by the tour operator, First Choice Holidays has a long history of hygiene problems and illness – it is not uncommon for holidaymakers to return from the Holiday Village in Turkey with bacterial infections such as salmonella which is often associated with food poisoning.
The hotel was featured on the BBC’s consumer programme “Watchdog” in 2009 after it had suffered yet another outbreak of illness – many holidaymakers have asked Simpson Millar’s Lawyers for help.
Recently, holidaymakers travelling to the Holiday Village Turkey in April 2011 contracted Salmonella, a communicable disease which is under investigation by the Environmental Health Agency.
Salmonella infection is an illness which is often associated with food poisoning, particularly pink and undercooked chicken.
The symptoms of Salmonellosis include gastroenteritis, enteric fever or septicaemia – holidaymakers should look out for profuse watery diarrhoea, headaches, rash, blood in stools, vomiting and lethargy.
